… does not turn out to be really competitive.
Government is busy doing stuff to ‘refine investment climate’, or to ‘make Indonesia attractive for foreign investors’, or bla bla bla
And some people, may be lots of them, just know that it is overrated.
Come to imagine those wonderful product you know. Mmm, let’s say Intel.
Intel was not made by low-educated people, eh? Those are smart people, deliver cool products with good quality, desired price, and always available. And those products were only made of silicon which is can be found easily in Indonesia and sold in low price before purification process.
If you think knowledge is expensive, try ignorance. -someone I forget-
Comparing to those world class companies and the ecosystem in which they were created, such ‘instant gratification’ like foreign investment will not significantly raise competitive advantages. Let alone the massive investment towards natural resources extraction, without any significant added-value.
IMO as an industrial player #cailah *wakakakak* *you too pray for me yahh*, government does not address the heart of industrial competitiveness, which is operational excellence. Oftenly, some people, me included sometimes, too much think about external thing. It is becoming not proportional. It is like you deploy incentives, but you do not educate people well. Or you make heavy promotion, but you do not build good infrastructures. Or it is like you are busy asking, without building your own competency.
So? I do not know either. All I am going to do is working for something better. I mean, ‘better’ according to my point of view.
